Abyss is a software and digital agency. We're a team of senior engineers who cover the West Midlands and Warwickshire. The people you email are the people who design and develop your software. That's been true for every one of the 40-odd products we've shipped, working with businesses across the West Midlands and Warwickshire from our base in Coventry. All work completed is 100% UK-based from start to finish.
We built Abyss because businesses need a dependable partner, not a chain of sales reps, account managers, and engineers standing between your idea and the people building it. Every business we've worked with over the years, we still work alongside today. We hear and see the problem first-hand, and work with you to come up with a solution that you're happy with. Nothing is lost in translation between account managers and engineering teams.
Over the last decade we've worked across healthcare, fintech, logistics, and consumer, in just about every shape a project can take. We've built systems that process millions of payments and hundreds of millions of pounds each year, and software you've likely encountered if you've ever visited a hospital or GP surgery, or even browsed for clothes online! Whatever the project, we'll develop a solution you're happy with, together.

We don't have account managers. There's no sales handoff, and no being passed to whoever's free. The senior engineers who reply to your email are the ones building your idea and working with your business. It's a personable service from the start to the end.
A short client list, on purpose
We deliberately only take on a handful of projects at a time. A senior team spread across twenty projects all at once doesn't benefit us or you; we want to ensure every project gets the attention it deserves.
We're still here after launch
Every business we've built for over the past 10 years, we still work alongside today. We don't disappear at handover, and our clients love the personable service they get with us, so if theres any issues you can drop us a message and we'll be able to help!
Honest about trade-offs
Software and mobile apps can be expensive, and it's a massive investment for a business of any size. We'll tell you what something will cost and where the risks are before you commit, and if custom software is the wrong answer for you and we think you'd be better off purchasing software off the shelf, we'll let you know.
